There are many recipes out there for nonmagical folk wanting to re-create this Wizarding World favorite. This is a chilled version featuring a sweet, whipped topping that has an added kick from Amaretto. The key ingredient is butter extract, which is important to achieve that buttery taste.

Yield: 1 serving
6 ounces cream soda
1 ounce vanilla vodka
1 ounce butterscotch schnapps
1 to 2 dashes butter extract

Garnish
¼ cup heavy whipping cream
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
½ ounce Amaretto

Butterbeer Recipe Directions:
1. In a beer mug, combine the cream soda, vanilla vodka, butterscotch schnapps, and butter extract and mix thoroughly.
2. For the garnish, put the whipping cream in a medium bowl and beat with a mixer until soft peaks form.
3. Next, add the powdered sugar and Amaretto, and continue beating the mixture until stiff peaks form.
4. Place a heaping spoonful of the cream on top of the drink for garnish.
